) I loved most of the suggestions, like putting Vicks vaporub on your feet instead of your chest to help control a cough at night (use with socks over). However, I cannot ever see myself urinating on my feet to cure athletes foot no matter how bad it itched!!!

This is an interesting book but not authoritative. It is loaded with anecdotal remedies in the first half of the book and they are fun to read. The remainder of the book has more technical information but is not especially complete in its listing of treatments an herbs.
In all buy it for an interesting perspective on home remedies but don't count on it for strong technical insight.

People's PharmacyLots of fun to read, and not too far out.....my Mom is ready to try the gin soaked raisins. The book is probably more fun to read than good for practical use. Still, I'd buy it again.
