Pee-Wee's Playhouse Volume # 1 (DVD, 2004)

This set of DVDs, for some reason is not available in my area. Knowing that my daughter “LOVED” Pee-Wee’s Playhouse growing up, I thought it would make a nice holiday gift for her. It sure did, her younger brother really liked them too.

The DVD collection was packaged nicely and delivered in a very timely fashion. The product was in excellent condition and I must say I even laughed out loud a few times watching with my kids. This was & it a GREAT product for the price. My kids and I are very happy with this purchase!

Pee-Wee is the greatest! My kids love watching these videos and never get tired of them. Its fun for the whole family with a lot of adult innuendo stuff slipped in. Can't wait for his third movie! He is just great, creative, artistic and kids and adults will love it if they have never seen it before!

I am a fan of Pee Wee Playhouse shows. I was looking for a DVD of the shows from the past. I found it, several bids later I won the bid.
I did not understand the shipping would exceed what I agreed to pay.

Shipping was per each DVD, even though the DVDs were all in the same case.

So, I sent the seller a few e mails and decided not to complete the sale.

The seller went along with my decision.

I have to read the shipping and handeling better in my future bids.

Pee Wee's playhouse was a great show, I used to watch it as a kid. Now my kids love to watch it, and its something that I can also sit down and enjoy, unlike the annoying kid shows that are on t.v. now. Volume 1 has episodes 1 through 23, with all the great characters that I remember like Miss Yvone, Reba the Mail Lady, Cowboy Curtis, and so on. What a great show! We love Pee Wee!! (and we bought Volume 2 as well!)

They're all here! All of the season's episodes...back to back. A must have for ANY Pee Wee fan!!! Come on in, pull up a chair..and watch back-to-back episodes of Pee Wee's Playhouse..only this time around, they're commercial free!!!

I am and avid DVD collector. That is why I purchased the DVD set. I'm not so thrilled with it though. Pee Wee is only entertaining if you are a toddler. No adult that doesn't have mental retardation would be able to sit through an entire episode. I hate dissing PW but I'm not a child anymore. I loved the show growing up. Great for you kids or any other child.

To me, the VERY FIRST episode of the VERY first show is CHOICE!
Check out "The Crinkle Cuts". They are a "Beetles" look-alike rock group playing a song called "Ca Ca COLD INSIDE" in Pee-Wee's freezer.
Amazing live action, "mummet-teering", claymation and clips of OLD cartoons from the 40's make it an eclectic blend of high energy entertainment you won't find anywhere else!

This was a several DVD set. Most won't even play in my DVD player as they are so heavily scratched. If they do they fail after the first 1 or two segments. What a complete rip-off.

Pee-wee Herman (comedian Paul Reubens) and his clever fantasy land playhouse has universal appeal to kids, teens, and adults. Kids love the bright cartoony colors, the word of the day (you scream whenever anyone says it), and the animated residents of the playhouse; teens find him very cool and they enjoy the sassy behavior; and adults enjoy the sophisticated humor, sunny double-entendres, and Pee-wee's way with kids. Every episode teaches valuable lessons, and Pee-wee clearly has fun doing it.

This boxed set is the first 16 episodes: Pee-wee catches a cold, throws a Hawaiian luau, and don’t forget Miss Yvonne's (Lynne Stewart) temporary stay at the playhouse... you’ll recognize the Playhouse characters who went on to later fame: Cowboy Curtis (Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne with a Jheri Curl Mullet), Captain Carl (Saturday Night Live's Phil Hartman), Mail Lady Reba (Law and Order's S. Epatha Merkerson), and Jimmy Smits as a hottie TV repairman.

It was a gift. I was happy to find it, but did not like having to communicate with seller previous to sale going through.

I bought this item for a gift so it has not been viewed as of yet. However, if you don't mind that the outside has some foreign lettering on it then it is great!

Hillarious set. If you remember watching this as a kid, you'll certainly enjoy seeing it again. Good old life lessons and fun with Pee-Wee.

Love Pee-Wee..his show was the most clever for children. Bought it for my grandchildren who love him too. The heck with his questionable past..he's creative and clever and that's what counts for good viewing. Kathleen Chaney

I love the DVD's. Pee Wee's playhouse has and will continue to be a part of my household. Just as much as Blues Clues and Barney. I had been trying to get them for a while. Great product and I love watching them with my kids!

I remember watching Pee-Wee when I was a kid and just loved his morning T.V. show. I was hoping that the old shows would come out on DVD, and being that I have not been in a Blockbuster for years....E-Bay was the perfect place for me to look. My kids now 8 and 2 can both watch the shows and enjoy them together. Plus it is way better for the adults in the house because my husband and I were getting pretty tired of Barney.
