I had this show of pee-wee in beta format back in 198?.
The tape woreout we watched it so many times.

i like this dvd. i don't love it, but i like it. i remember seeing this on tv when i was younger and it has always stuck with me. when i saw this dvd i just had to get it! it's funny and entertaining. if you like Pee Wee you will enjoy this just fine. it's also a great prelude to watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure! :)

Pee Wee as he was meant to be!!!For those of you who have never seen this but grew up watching Pee Wee's Playhouse on Saturday mornings, be prepared. This is not for the kids. I first saw this when it was run on HBO in '81. It is somewhat "bathroom humor" I would assume some would think, but it is hilarious. Phil Hartman is great as Kaptain Karl. In fact, the whole cast is a hoot (note:read up on Mrs. Jelly Donut. She actually has a PhD.). I had a VHS copy of it and over the years it was wearing out, so I was thrilled to find it finally offered on DVD. Enjoy it, it's a lot of fun. Miss Yvonne's chest of bounty is a hoot too--you'll understand what I mean once you see her. That girl carries everything she needs....
