Faith Hill's TITANIC-style "There You'll Be," a song that will live in infamy, leads off this soundtrack to Hollywood's latest tribute to the men and women who fought and died in America's bloody introduction to World War 2. It's fittingly sweeping and majestic, as is the rest of this soundtrack CD.
The simple, heart-tugging musical theme is stated and extemporized upon through the movie's various stages--it does double duty as the soundtrack to what is both a war film and a love story. As with most movie soundtracks, only the orchestration changes. These pieces are an uplifting, and at times moving, memento of an old fashioned Hollywood blockbuster.
