This is one of the best cookbooks ever. The Peach Tree is a a pretty famous restaurant in Fredricksburg, Texas - make reservations if you do not want to wait. Although I tell you it is worth the wait.

I have all of the cookbooks from Cynthia Collins Pedregon and love all of them. Guests always ask for the recipes.

Don't let the name Peach Tree Tea Room put you off. The recipes in these books are great from ladies luncheons to men needing a hardy meal during hunting season. My husband loves to show off for the guys with the cooking. Both men and women LOVE the chicken salad recipe which is served in the restaurant. It is very different than regular chicken salad. Baked goods, salads, entrees - they are all good.

My family has favorites from all the books and we use them regularly.

I have given these books as gifts when someone asks for recipes and actually bought the one on ebay for a cousin. Making the sauces and dishes are much easier than I had perceived because I did not cook anything but boring until I tasted food at the restaurant and bought my first book.

This is still my favorite of the books but as I said we use all of them and people always make a fuss over the meals. Cynthia's books are real cooking for real people(lucky people that is).

  Worth Buying, Great recipes--

This is one of those cookbooks that has no bad recipes. Everything I've made from this cookbook has been good. Cynthia's soups are particularly good, and most are fast and easy to prepare. Some of the recipes are reprinted from Cynthia's first cookbook. Her quiche recipes are also winners.
