I enjoy CSI and the way they develop the story line. This is similar to that kind of subject. I think this book was well written. The story line flowed nicely and he did a great job building the characters. There were twists and turns that I didn't expect and the imagery was great. I look forward to the next book in the installment.

) My family and I love to read. I normally receive the local Christian Store Catalog and circle the titles and the synopis of the stories I am interested in. PAWN was one of these titles. After looking for the book at 1/2 price Book Stores, and yard sales, and our library and book stores I was unable to locate it. However I did find it on Ebay and purchased it.
PAWN is a thriller. In this book the character Agent Patrick Bowers is called to North Carolina to consult on a case involving a serial killer. By viewing the story through the eyes of Agent Patrick Bowers you get a first hand look at what is involved in a case of this nature.
The writer flavors the story with specific North, South Carolina places that were familar to me which added to the descriptions that he used throughout the book.
This book will have you on your seat, an captivate you enough that you will not want to sit it down till you are finished reading it. When you are finished reading this book you can't wait for the next story involving Agent Patrick Bowers.
The author Steven James is from the Blue Ridge Mountains he uses Ohio, Kentucky, and of course Tennessee as well both North and South Carolina in his story for those of you familiar with these states through living there or vacations or trips you will find a familiar voice. This story has twists and turns and will keep you guessing till the end.
I recommend this book for the beach or just a weekend read.
