Words alone can't begin to express how much I love this book, its everything I wanted it to be and then some. I love that I now have her first and second book all rolled into one beautiful hardback and what makes it even better is the special wedding pages and short insert of items from the wedding reception as well. Paula is simply the best and I love cooking up her dishes in my very own kitchen in Maryland of all places, I'm from the South and will be a Southern Girl til the day I die. Well as Paula would say "Here's Wishing You Best Dishes From My Kitchen To Yours." This book is a must have for Southern cooks and for those who wish to bring the south wherever they are.

This book has some of the best southern cookin' recipes. Paula Deen uses easy to read directions with simple ingredients. My daughters who are just learning to cook can make many delicious dishes using this book.

Thoroughly enjoy Paula's "down south" expressions, because that's the way we talk!! Delightful recipes--good source when wanting to try new ones.

This book is full of a ton of recipes, a lot of which are everyday ingredient type recipes that I would actually use. I don't care for the fact that it's a cookbook in the form of a novel, I prefer larger pages or maybe spiral binding, but I am happy with the contents and am happy with my purchase.

Loved the book. Easy recipes, simple ingredients. Several friends and relatives have the same book & at a family reunion, we tried several recipes from the book...all were delicious. Would recommend to anyone!

My 16yo daughter loves to cook, she is currently taking Culinary Arts in high school. Paula Deen inspires her a great deal. She watches the Food Network channel, then she attempt the recipes. This book was much cheaper on Ebay, everywhere else the price was very high. When the package arrived, she didn't know what was inside. I heard her gasp when she opened the box. This was the most rewarding purchase I have made all year.

This is a wonderful cookbook. I am a big fan of Paula Deen's and watch her shows on television when possible. When I saw recipes she demonstrated, I would print them from my computer and found myself printing recipies all the time. I figured I might as well buy her book. Well, this cookbook is one of the best cookbooks I own! I especially love the way the recipes are cross-referenced in the index - that way if you are not positive of how a recipe might be listed, it probably does not matter because more than likely, you will find it no matter how you look it up. For example: "meatloaf" can be listed under beef/meat and meatloaf.

Personally, I appreciate the time and talent that went into the planning and preparation of this cookbook. I think the final product is amazing and recommend it, especially if you love Paula.

Wonderful recipes, if you enjoy true southern cooking this is the book for you. Paula Deen is a wonderful cook, and I have tried many of these recipes and love them~

Love it Love it LOVE IT!!!!!!! She is such a sweet woman with GREAT RECIPES! I ordered one for my mother's birthday and when I received hers through EBAY, I knew I had to get one for myself...and did! Wonderful!

I already had this book and my step-daughter fell in love with it before Christmas. I had planned to buy it for her birthday but the price was good at the time I needed it. She is tickled as the recipes are down to earth without using hard to find ingredients. It is full of "stick to the ribs" southern cuisine . I have used it frequently and have been very pleased with the results. I would recommend it to all serious cooks as it covers all entertaining and family gatherings.

Great book. Very, very good recipes. The recipes in here make you want to get started right away. Many of the recipes she does on TV are in the book. Paula adds some of her own stories in here which give the book her special touch. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves to cook and bake country style.

After seeing Paula's show, her recipes sounded delicious. After trying several in the cook book, I certainly wasn't disappointed. Great price and quick delivery!

Being a Georgia girl, I'm a HUGE Paula Deen fan. I first bought this cookbook as a birthday gift for my cousin who is also crazy about Paula. Once my husband and I started looking at it, we knew we had to have one for ourselves. Naturally, I turned to eBay. The majority of Paula's recipes are exceptionally easy with just a few ingredients, most with a Southern flair -- from appetizers to desserts, and everything in between, like meatloaf, soups, and casseroles. There are also some fancy recipes. If you're like me and you love to cook but don't have a lot of time, this cookbook is for you. It has really helped us break away from our old menus and make some interesting and delicious dishes. This book is a combo of two of Paula's best cookbooks and I highly recommend it. Makes a great gift -- my cousin loves hers too.

I have loved the refreshing approach that Paula has used in writing her cookbooks. The stories that go with each recipe bring meaning and fun to each recipe. Believe it or not...it makes great bedtime reading. Check-out the newest book about Celebrations. Blessings!

Paula's cookbooks are a must have, for all types of cooks. I bought her first cookbook five years ago, and I am a big fan of her show. Her recipes are big on taste!

Easy to follow directions and helpful hints. I have enjoyed each and every recipe I have made and everyone is always pleased with the outcome. Her food has flavor, texture and taste. I recommend all of her books. I also recommend watching her shows on the Food Network.

Her restaurant in Savannah is a must in you are in the area. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting her restaurant, but hope to soon.

If you love cookbooks as much as I do, you will find this one to be one of your favorites. In addition to the wonderful "down home" recipes, it has some great personal features about Paula and her family. You will feel the genuine character of Paula and her sons when you read these pages just as much as when you watch them on television. Highly recommended!

Nobody does southern cooking like Paula Deen. She represents some of the best the south has to offer. Her recipes are just good old down-to-earth home cooking fancied up a bit. Her wit and charm are present throughout the entire book. She explains how to make the recipe for anything that is out of the ordinary. Her style of writing makes you feel that she is in the kitchen with you as you try some of her fabulous recipes.

I bought the book for a cookbook exchange that I participated in. The recipient was a Paula Deen fan and she loved it as much as I did. It was well worth the price paid and was in mint condition.

The only thing I disliked about the book was it made me want to buy more of her cookbooks. lol

I love this cookbook! It has so many good Southern recipes, is easy to read, and the recipes are delicious when cooked. Paula Deen is a good writer as well as a good cook. This may be my favorite cookbook and I enjoy reading it for fun as well as for instruction.

I love the way the book is written with personal anecdotes and her wedding photos are added in also. The recipes are basic southern cooking and easy to follow . Excellent choice and it arrived in perfect condition.
