Worth the money. Worth the read.

If I could talk to Paula Deen myself, I would tell her "Thank You." It took courage to tell the truth about her life like she did in this book. I laughed, I cried. She reminds us not to judge one another. It was nice to know she is a REAL person. I am not impressed by celebrities; I wouldn't recognize half of them if they were right next to me. Miss Paula reminds me of my own mamma, and that's why I bought the book and watched her on t.v. to begin with. I have eaten at "The Lady and Sons" and it was definately worth the money and the wait in line. If you are a woman that has ever experienced loss, heartache, struggles, or triumphs, this book is worth your time, in my opinion. I often found it hard to put down. If you are able to put the book down, you can cook up some of the recipes she has included in this book. I felt like I was sitting and listening to a friend talk instead of reading a book. This is one I will be keeping on my shelves.
