Paul Kirk's Championship Barbecue by Bob Lyon, Paul Kirk (2004, Paperback)

This is a great book if you want to create some fabulous backyard Q. If you are looking on tips and tricks or how to to get into championship BBQ this book is not the one. There are several helpful tidbits but it doesn't really get into a full blown explanation of competing at all or into any serious winning recipes. There are however many useful pieces of info sure to make your next BBQ a success and make you look like a pro. The recipes are great and it even has a section full of info and recipes on making your own sausage. Try it it's easier than you think. The recipes alone are worth the cost of this book. Most importantly enjoy your next BBQ and the great food you will learn to make.

Paul shares secrets that other books skim over. He covers absolutely everything from temperatures, to cooking times, to the type of cooker YOU want to use. I have several outdoor cooking books and I always go to this one. You can't go wrong.
