The Patriot by Original Score (CD, Jun-2000, Hollywood Records)

John Williams is the master of soundtracks and The Patriot soundtrack is no exception. It is a wonderful composition of classical music as only Williams can make. "The Patriot Reprise" is my favorite track with its beautiful melody and uplifting patriotic sections. If you are a Williams fan, then this soundtrack is a must have for your collection! Highly recommended!

The Patriot-Original Score.This soundtrack is great. John Williams music is absolutely beautiful. Some of the tracks border on being musically perfect. Fans of John Williams scores will love this CD. As will fans of the movie "The Patriot." The "Patriotic" themes of this soundtrack are inspirationally memorable. It's a beautiful score !

When I saw the wonderful presentation of the reading of the Declaration of Independence before this year's Super Bowl, I immediately recognized the background music chosen for the presentation as being part of the soundtrack from "The Patriot." Not only is the movie one of my personal favorites but so is the soundtrack. Some soundtracks give you one or two really good cuts, but the soundtrack to "The Patriot" is solidly good throughout the various parts of the score. One main motif in particular weaves through many of the tracks, but there is enough variation in tempo, instrumentation, etc. that it's effective and doesn't get repetitive or boring. Written by John Williams with violin solos performed by Mark O'Connor, this is one of those "feel good" CDs that I really enjoy and find inspiring when my soul needs a bit of "lifting up" and encouragement.
