The Path between the Seas by David McCulllough, David Willis McCullough (1978, Paperback, Illustrated)

The book is a great read. I got the book because I was born in Panama, as was most of my family, and I wanted to learn more about the canal. The book is very discriptive and the pictures are helpful. If anyone wants to learn more about why and how the Panama Canal was built, this is the book they should read.

I bought this book as a prelude to a panama canal cruise, and it has been a wonderful was to look and understand the making of this wonderful place. The book is like 800 pages, so it's a long read, and some of the words are difficult, but for the most part, enjoyable

Book is a good read. Historicaly correct and well researched. Perhaps I am somewhat biased as we recently went through the canal and have an interest, having already been there. I should have read it before our trip.

The Book was received in a timely manner. It was in the condition that the seller was suggesting. I would definitely buy from seller again.

A long -exhaustive narration of the canal. (700 pages). Very interesting story however. Easy to read - with some photos - and 2 maps.

I covers some 35 years that the project took (over 5 US Presidents).
