Rhythms and Depth

I was initially unsure whether or not I would like this game, but given the excellent reviews it received, I thought I would try it out. And I was not disappointed.
While it initially takes a little while to get used to the rhythm-based commands you use go guide your Patapons, after a while it starts to make sense, and your fights get very engrossing. NOTE: This game is very hard to play without the sound on. If you are in a crowded area, bring headphones.
The most excellent part of the game, however, is the depth of character customization. You can customize your little army with different types of fighters, and also customize the stats and attributes of each individual fighter through their evolution tree. You can also collect weapons and armor for them. It is very addicting, actually.
There is also a pretty neat online feature where you relive some of the major fights in a co-op mode, with each person bringing his/her hero (not their entire army). This looks pretty neat, although I have only tried it with bots.
All in all, I say this game is definitely worth the money. It will last quite a long time, and the character styles are fun to look at.
