It was a good price and shipping was timely. The book was the perfect gift for a ham radio listener. It was just what I was looking for a family member.

Very informative as to current radio programs and frequencies, etc. Also has their personal reviews on radios, antennas, etc.

Almost a must for active SW listeners.

A Must Have For Those Listening To Shortwave
Review created: 05/06/09

A treasure of information for listening to World Ban Radio... It rates all the newest radios... It explains things such as ZULU time... Listening during night & day is very Different... Time Zones... You can start with a portable Radio that does't cost a bunch of bux... How ever it is very additive... The Antenna is not the place to try to save money... A long wire will do for starting out... It is better to Balance your radio & antenna... A Radio that cost big bux with a cheap antenna doen't work that well... An antenna that cost big bux doesn't with a cheap radio is not the best place to save bux... If you decide to jump in a good place to start is a Shortwave Radio & Antenna should be equal... A buget of a $100.00 a good place is a $50.00 Radio & $50.00 Antenna... Those who find they have a $1,000 Budget a Radio that cost $500.00 and a $500.00 an antenna...It will give you a very good hobby that can bring you hours and hours of entertainment... The up side is after you buy your Radio & Antenna it doesn't cost anything to listen... The Passport "Passport to World Band Radio"... Is a Listening Guide is as handy as a T.V. Guide... I rate it an A+ after reading it you can decide if Shortwave Radio is a Hobby you want... Grey Bear 2009
