I purchased the movie because it was made in the city I live in. It shows a lot about the fishing life and about the Portuguese people in the city and the way they live. It is a loving romantic. I have bought one for one of my daughters and going to purchase more and many people I know own it or going to purchase it.

I discovered Jason Isaacs thru this movie, and havent looked back since!
Fabulous cast, with lots of chemistry between Mr Jason and Ms Milos..
Great, beautiful location helps the plot, New Bedford MA shines in this
movie. I highly recommend this movie to anyone, especially someone
who has lost faith in love. A story of how love can turn a persons
life around, and make it joyous. Love, faith, commitment, TRUST, are
values not seen often these days. Heart warming film, and the romantic
scenes are tastefully done. Listen to the actor, actress, director commentary,
it is full of insightful information about filming the movie and the concepts
involved. Check out the alternative ending, Im glad it was changed, but its
still interesting..

I bought Passionada as a sceptic in need of a pick-me-up movie, I began the movie and fell in love with this romantic and humorous take on life and love.
The plot is strong and the cast is unforgettable. I highly recommend it.
