The Passion of the Christ (DVD, 2007, 2-Disc Set; Definitive Edition)

being that JESUS is the only way to Heaven, You "will" be spoken to by The Holy SPIRIT when you watch this movie, whether or not you hear HIM is up to you. HIS still small Voice demands attention. this is The most accurate movie i have ever seen. the only inaccuracy was the whipping post. the Bible is clear HE bore 39 stripes. i counted over 100 in the movie. but, it does drive the point home that, when GOD HIMSELF comes down to earth, most do not even recognize HIM. if you reject the validity of this movie, then it's probable you have rejected the ONE who created you.

Icon Pictures presents a film directed and co-written by Mel Gibson. Starring James Caviezel and Monica Bellucci. Rated R for sequences of graphic violence. IF you are are Muslim, a Budhist, a Roman Catholic, or Jewish, or Christian, it doesn't matter. This is an amazing film that put me in tears. The movie is "godly".

I've purchased the original DVD when it was released, and seen the film at theater so having this newly released DVD, with all it special features including the making, interviews, etc., is quite wonderful and happy to have purchased it, and now own it. Terrific DVD.

This film is an excellent portrayal of the end of Jesus the Christ's life on Earth. Wether you are a Christian or not, this film should be watched just for the historical value. I don't feel that Jesus' life on Earth can be disputed. Wether you believe he was the Christ or not is up to you. I did not grasp, before watching this film, what He actually went through for us while he was here with us. We all can say "He died for our sins", but until you see this you can not even come close to understanding what exactly He went through for us. The film is VERY gory and disturbing in many parts so I would not advise younger children to watch it. The movie is subtitled, but I feel being in the native tongue it adds to the movie. If you do not care much for history and are not a Jesus fan you will probably not enjoy the film.

This is a fantastic package a wonderful film and very informative and will be watched again and again. Thank You Mister Gibson for this wonderful gift you gave the world. Thank You Very Much.

Mel Gibson is an unique director who has not gotten the merits he deserves. His Passion of the Christ is truly a masterpiece of cinematography which will withstand the test of time. Even if you are not a Christian, you cannot help to be moved deeply by this outstanding work of art. I recommend this special edition of the Passion and advice to anyone that it ought to be watched several times to understand its powerful images and messages.

Well, I would say that this is the most accurate movie I have seen thus far, it was right on with the exception (I heard some reviews that they shouldn't have made jesus look so bad) but the Bible plainly tells us that he was beaten beyong reconition. So he actually looked worse then the movie portrayed. If you wonder if it is real You need to be in church. It isn't something you have to wonder It is something you feel and i love this movie it reminds me what torture Jesus went through simply because he love me.

No matter what you think of Mel Gibson,(which by the way who is human)the movie shows another side that people didn't get to see of the movie...that is how the movie evolved and how much work was done to bring what Christ went through to life.I Believe the movie would appeal to Christians and non-Christians alike...and is a must see.

I really loved the movie to begin with. I wanted to get the latest version for the bonus features about the making of the movie. It's such a unique film and seeing and hearing how it was made was very interesting.

This movie is the closest description I have ever seen to the week of Passion that Christ endured. Mel Gibson really did his research in making this film and it shows. It does not compete with the Bible but it is a good companion to it.

I have always wanted to have in my collection-is an excellent movie... A must see for everyone. The detail displayed through out the movie really portrayed what Christ did for us...

These folks were among the fastest shippers I have ever dealt with on ebay. The DVD I ordered came the very next day, but I only chose UPS ground. Excellent! The DVD was brand new, shrink wrapped as expected.

The extra's/behind the scenes stuff was the best. I waited for this version because I wanted the extra's as well as the original.
