Party Receipts from the Charleston Junior League (1993, Paperback, Spiral)

I purchased this book because I am in the process of moving to Charleston, SC and was interested in learning lowcountry cooking form, fashion and favorites. I especially like the book because it has a wonderful blend of lowcountry cuisine with historical perspectives. I would like to be able to entertain in traditional Charleston style, and I particularly need to freshen up on seafood recipes and learn to cook them in acceptable lowcountry form. This book is excellent in that you learn a variety of secrets for fine cooking and for entertaining in traditional Southern hospitality, style and grace. Quite an interesting, informative, and fact-filled book. I am very glad that I won the auction. I will be looking for more Charleston related cookbooks and articles.
