SOME SHINING KEATON MOMENTS BUT WHAT WAS MGM THINKING?
Review created: 04/22/08(updated 04/22/08)

Now I can see why Buster really didn't want to do farce comedy. Proof positive that MGM had no clue on what to do with this hugely talented comedic genius! As a HUGE Keaton fan I believe the focus must always be ON Keaton as he is truly the Comedic Master. Too much going on in this film to really appreciate Keaton himself. It is worth the money for the true Keaton fans out there though as there a couple of wonderful Keaton moments. The scene with Charlotte Greenwood (Aunt Eller in the film "Oklahoma") when she is trying to show Buster how to make love to a woman is truly hysterical! Try to picture a 6'5" lanky female making love to LITTLE Buster and you'll kind of get the idea. It gets rather physical but not in the way you may think!!!! Very funny and over the top but in a good way. Another scene is the race through the hotel lobby where you get a glimpse of some of the old athletic prowess of Keaton as he slides across the lobby sofa and table. Don't blink though because you could miss it! All in all I enjoyed it but I usually always find something to enjoy in all of Buster's films. Hell I just like to look at him :P
