The Paranoid's Pocket Guide by Cameron Tuttle (1997, Hardcover)

This book is hysterical, frightening and factual. Some of the stuff I laughed out loud at because I have one really paranoid friend who has told me some of the same stuff in the book. The book is a listing of funny, factual and fatal tidbits. I love the lists on phobias and diseases I'd never even heard of. Some of my favorites's were

"Some 3.7 million Americans claim to be abducted by Aliens. Most found it a positive experience."

"One in 6500 Americans will be injured by a toilet seat during their lifetime.Most will be men."

"Don't worry about being short, anxiety stunts growth."

This is definitely the perfect gift for that paranoid friend we al have.
