Paper isn't just for writing...

When someone mentions handmade paper, most people get a puzzled look on their faces. Somehow the idea of actually making paper, one of the most common items on earth, just never crosses most people's mind. As an educator, having taught numerous natural crafts in 100s of college workshops since 1986, I am often surprised by the questions people ask about this amazing subject.
Since I have either owned or am familiar with most of the publications on papermaking I have seen the good, bad and the ugly and have found that most are worth buying.
However, almost every volume deals only with making sheets of handmade paper as the end and final product. So it is a treat to run across a book that goes on to talk about other useful, artistic and beautiful ways to use this vast resource.
Paper into Pots by Gerry Copp certainly would rate high on the list of books to consider buying. I give it a thumbs up: One for the subject matter and one for the content. Check it out and see if it is a match for your creativity.
