Pacho Villa
This is a ficticious story, quite humorous at points, surrounding Villa's actual raid of Columbus, New Mexico. Clint Walker and Telly Savalas' parts are good, but the bald Savalas makes an unbelieveable Villa (this is explained in the first few scenes.) Villa's reputation for generosity to the widow and , in the next breath, vicious killing of a traitor, are well represented here. However, by the arms deal snafu of 1916, Villa had declared open-season on Americans, and would have had no Yankee arms dealers like Walker. Chuck Conners is amusing as a very pedantic Colonel, ignoring the real warnings of the Villa attack while chasing a fly. Perhaps this is symbolic of Gen. Pershing's vain attempt to capture the wily Pancho in his homeland?
