Panasonic Palmcorder Multicam PV-GS9

I bought the Panasonic PV-GS9 while on vacation last year. It was a last minute decision based on the necessity to replace my old malfunctioning Sony Handycam. The Panasonic felt good in my hand and the controls were fairly easy to learn. By the end of that vacation my Panasonic seemed like I had owned it for years. Those viewing my vacation videos commented on the excellent sound quality of the recordings and the crisp picture. I love the easy to use menu on the flip out side screen and the powerful 20X optical zoom. Keep in mind that this camera, while a good value, does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive Panasonic models. The lack of a remote control is a minor inconvenience when playing back tapes on TV, but at least the controls on the camera are easy to understand and use (with a little practice). Overall, I would recommend the Panasonic PV-GS9 to anyone wanting a good, reliable, low-priced camcorder. I have owned many Panasonic devices and have found them to be very trouble-free. I see no reason to doubt that my PV-GS9 will be reliable, also.
