A Review of the Panasonic PV-V4521 VHS VCR

First of all, I had owned this model before but it went bad after years of good service. So I looked for one on Ebay. I found one, bought it and lo and behold it works great. I love the fact that the picture is so clear on Playback. It's easy to operate. And when the tape heads need cleaning, the machine will let you know.
One of the features I really like is that I can tape Smooth Jazz music from Music Choice on cable tv. I have two wires going from the V4521 to my receiver and allows me to hear the music on my own speakers. If I really like a song or two, I can then hook up my cassette recorder to the receiver and tape the songs and put them onto a CD. Truth be told, I really can't tell when a CD is completed if I got the song from the VCR or from Napster or Limewire.
There's really nothing to dislike about the VCR except perhaps that I also got the Panasonic SV-V4520 from Ebay as well and if I hit the power button on the remote, both machines go on. So then I have to get up and turn one of them off. Small price to pay for such good VCR's. They last a lot longer than the RCA's I have. Right now I have 3 broken RCA VCR's sitting on the sidelines until I can find someone to repair them. Hardly anyone does nowadays. One of them is only a few years old and already eating tapes up. As for the overall quality of the two brands, I have to give a big edge to Panasonic.
