The TGA273S is great! I have a couple of these. It is nice because it is a clock/radio/alarm all in one and it doesn't need to be plugged in near a phone line. We have 5 of these now and the only problem has been the batteries after a few years. We bought new ones on Ebay and they are all back up to a lengthy talk time. One of the units display goes out randomly and comes back, but maybe thats because we left it outside overnight! I'll continue to add to my 2 line base unit. I originally had the 1 line unit and it died. Having the extension phones made me invest in a new base just as they were being clearanced out in the retail stores a few years back. One of the expansions sits in our pool house, its about 150' from the base and still has never uttered an ounce of static reaching to the main base in the main house. You can also intercom room to room and my wife tracks me down all the time with that. It has a different ring as it intercoms, so I'll answer it. I normally won't answer the normal incoming calls, thats what the machine is for. If its important, call my cell!
This phone set, although only 2.4G, is clear and the signal stays strong well outside of our house. The phone/clock radio handset I bought is to expand the existing two receiver set we already have. No problem expanding the set and I would highly recommend it. The features are easy to use and functional. The only problem I have had over the three years (our existing set) is that the batteries ran down and needed to be replaced. I got a new set on Ebay that work fine!
