Panasonic KX-TG5777 5.8 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone

has excellent features and plenty of them, reminds me much like a cell phone, and the color screen and expandable features it what i wanted it for!!!

I've had the phones about a month. They work nicely and set up was easy. The sound on them is good, both talking and ringers. I bought them refurbished and about 2 days after plugging in, the caller id quit working. Probably from me playing around with the phone. I was referred to Panasonic, whose friendly customer service people had me enter a few codes on the main handset. Took a total of less than 10 minutes to remedy. This reset, or changed the phone line and caller id returned. Problem has not happened since. The phones also give you the caller id through audio, which is great while cooking or busy, unless people are calling from non-registered cell phones, in which case it simply calls out cellular call. Ringtones and pics are also customizable to programmed numbers (create a phone book just like cell phones), much like todays cell phones. I only wish I could install my favorite cell phone game (bejeweled)on the home set as well. I have installed a couple pictures and several custom ringtones. I did have to translate songs into .wav files before installing, which took some time, but plenty of free programs were available on the web. I used a switching program by Golden Records under a free trial basis. Records up to 30 seconds per song and completely customizable to any points of the song with simple software that comes with the set. The phones hook up to your computer with a usb cable. The intercom function on the phones is nice too, for when I'm on the other side of the house as my girlfriend, although you do actually have to answer the handset to talk. Would be better if you could just press the button and talk or yell through the speaker. It sucks answering the intercom to hear "you need to take out the trash." Handset speakerphone also nice. I also have the camera/baby monitor/security monitor coming in the mail that is compatible with these phones. It is supposed to have a sound sensor that automatically sends the picture to phones when sound is detected. I'm going to try and use it as a baby monitor. I'm curious to see how that works. Paid about 115 for the 3 phone set, plus 60 for the camera. I also have many electronics and other cordless appliances in the house and have experienced zero interference with these phones at this point. In my eyes, I got a lot of bang for the buck with this system. Neat toys and quality product. I've now got or had about 5 different products by Panasonic and have yet to be dissapointed or have one quit working on me. Sure would like a new big screen for the bedroom. Wishful thinking with a baby on the way.

Very nice phones. I've been a Panasonic phone fan for more than 15 years now from 900 MHz to the 5.8GHz all were very good. I like these best as it they have color screens which are programmable, you can download pictures and music to the phone with the enclosed software. The phonebook is easily accessible, can be made on a PC and downloaded easily to each handset. A phonebook drawback is its size being limited to 50 entries. I would suggest panasonic issue new firmware allowing for 500. Also with the color screen you can add Panasonic wireless digital camera's to the phone system and moniter a baby or front door with the intercom feature buttons. (sound and picture) This system has a maximum capacity of 8 handsets and cameras. The audio is crisp and clear and works from the basement to upstairs. These phones are very similar in function to a high tech cell phone.

Excellent and sexy phone. Clear and crisp voice with very good answering feature. It sets itself up when you first plug it in and is very easy to use.

This phone come with 3 cordless phones & chargers & is an answering phone as well. Its computer compatible so you can add pictures etc. We have had one of these for about 3 yrs, & one of our phones got run over in our driveway, so we purchased this unit on e-Bay & not only replaced the broken phone, but added 2 more phones to the base we already had. It has never caused us any trouble, is easy to work & I highly recommend this phone to anyone who wants a great dependable phone.

This is a great phone with 2 handsets and answering machine. I had been told the Panasonic phones were better than other brands and I am now convinced. No static - no feedback - good performance when away from the base. Good value on Ebay. I would recommend.

I purchased the cordless phone and It was shipped in a timely manner and in a brand new condition (as described in the auction). Seller is also very helpful in any questions even after the purchase. These are great phones. The sound is clear and they have good range. This is especially good since they have a built in intercom. The color screen is an added bonus. Also being able to download pictures and attach them to a caller is good for us who have poor eyesight.

Panasonic makes great phones but this model in particular is wonderful. Being disabled from chronic pain I love the speaker phones in the handsets. No one can tell I am talking on a speakerphone, they have long range, you can add up to 8 handsets or cameras to this system. I recently bought the camera which was easy to sync with the system. While the photo quality is not great it has a call button on it so if you have a sick person in the house you could put it by their bed and if they needed help all they would have to do is push the button. It also has a sensor for noise so you could use it as a baby monitor to hear the baby crying but they need quite a bit of light to see so that is a minor drawback.

This is an AMAZING phone. The voice clairty is beyond compare. The amount of functions is truly amazing. This phone is also "user friendly" for people who are visually impaired. I've had no problem using it whatsover. No need to pay for an over priced phone for the "Visually Impaired".. this phone has been designed for everyone in mind, including individuals with disabilities. I am so impressed with this phone I intend to buy additional handsets and will also buy at *least* one camera. I highly recommend this phone to everyone but also recommend it for individuals who are legally blind. Panasonic has a real winner with this product! In my opinion this phone is a MUST HAVE for anyone seeking a well made, high quality product. Panasonic is, was and always will be a brand name you can trust.

Easy to use, very good value, a lot of extra features. The only small issue is that the extra phone remain always lighted and in the bedroom can be bothering.

Great to do business with. I liked that the phone is in color. It is like a cell phone in the fact that you can use USB ports to add youir own music or pictures. I also like the fact that it had talking caller ID. So when you are busy and can't see the caller ID, the phones talking caller ID lets you know who is calling without even looking at the phone.

Quick,direct shipment. Great product, as advertised. Only thing missing is the ability to turn OFF the ringer and indicate incoming call on the LED screen.

I liked just about everything about the phone system-display; ease of use; ability to add additional handsets & camera, etc. What I loved about the phone was the price. My decision to buy was based on the above comments.

Bought this phone as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They love the phones. The additional handset come in handy since they have 3 kids (1 soon to be a teanage girl). No static and with talking caller ID they know who is calling before they walk across the room to answer the phone. My daughter recommends that if you have the handsets on the same floor of the house you have them on the same ring tone or it will drive you nuts with all the different music playing when the phone rings. But she won't give them up for anything.

NOTHING SPECTACULAR ABOUT THESE PHONES. THE COLOR LCD IS COOL, BUT THE ACTUAL LIMITATIONS OF THE PHONE LEAVE A FEW THINGS TO BE DESIRED. FOR EXAMPLE, THE SAVED NAMES/NUMBERS CAPABILITY IS VERY LIMITED. MOST PHONES ALLOW YOU TO SAVE UP TO 50 NAMES/NUMBERS. THIS PHONE ONLY ALLOWS YOU 10 RECORDS. ITS OK, BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MORE INTELLIGENT PHONE, THIS PROBABLY IS NOT THE ONE FOR YOU.

I think the phones are very nice. They have color screen and you can upload your own pics to them. They have lots of features and the fact that has 3 hand sets is very convenient. I just love them. Hopefully they will last since they are refurb phones.

why did I purchase it.. three phones, color display. simply to understand and use. Would prefer different ring tones

I love every feature of this phone. It has a great answering service. Clarity is Wonderful. I have always been the one to buy a cheap home phone and it showed. I am so glad I spent the extra money on this one.

Excellent product. Product was delivered quickly and and it was an excellent product.The system was easy to set up and install.

I wanted a better phone system than the one I had, I was used to hand held phones, and answering machines, but wanted better sound, and better answering features. This phone system, with Comcast Digital service, is the best I know of, it tells you by voice who is calling, it has speaker phone capability on all hand sets, the phone book on the handsets is easy to access, you can retreive you voice mail from anywhere. The main point is my wife likes it also.

I was looking for a new phone system because my other one had had it. I found this one and I loved the color display screen and the fact that you can put your own pictures and download music for the ring tones, although I haven't figured out how to do the music yet. I checked walmart for the same phone system and they didn't have it. For the price I paid this is a very good phone system and I have purchased the Panasonic brand for the past 3 phone systems that I have purchased.

Works fine, user friendly, full of option and customisable. exacly like in the description. Very good choice.

I love it! It is a very quality product. It is easy to use and has some wonderful features, ringtones can be downloaded, it has excellent clarity, it can even be a room monitor with a camera attachment to watch over your newborn or youngster.
