| Product Description Panasonic introduces a sleek and compact VDR-M50 DVD camcorder that is as full featured as it is easy to use. The DVD camcorder records high-quality digital video and still images onto removable 8cm DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs, allowing for non-linear editing and within the camcorder. The VDR-M50 DVD camcorder weighs 1.15lbs and has an 18x optical zoom for dynamic shooting. It has a 1/6" 680, 000 pixel CCD which allows sharper and vibrant recording. And the unit's 240x digital zoom allows users to capture that perfect moment, no matter how away they are. The VDR-M50 slim, compact design camcorder has a 2 1/2 inch color LCD monitor for easily capturing or playing back images. This DVD camcorder uses either DVD-RAM or DVD-R discs and offers a variety of recording and playback selections. The Digital Electronic Image Stabilization helps compensate for unintended hand and/or camcorder movement.

Top Reviews Review created: 07/13/06 by: 12 of 13 people found this review helpful. Read all of your potential purchase add before buying...this unit requires a disc holder or disc adapter to work. My auction did not come with one and you cannot even get them from Panasonic. I put a correct size disc in mine and shut the lid to record...unit locked up and can not be opened without damage to lid. I have seen some of these for sale here that state...unit come on but loader will not open. It is worthless if the loader lid will not open. Repeat, this m50pp requires a disc holder/sleeve to operate. I have found out the newer models do not use a holder/sleeve. Stay away from this system. Camera was not working. 2. wrote explanation to seller. 3.took camera to repair center. 4. was given quote to repair in excess of $500.00. 5.Attempted to get my money back and was informed camera was insured by UPS. 6.UPS agreed to pay when heard of problem and estimate to repair how ever insurance money was to be paid to seller. 7. Seller gets paid twicwnow will not respond and no-longer sells. SOOOOO I am out along with $25.00 in fuel cost to get camera to repair center. I have back up for all of the above information.
