Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK DVD Recorder

This recorder does exactly what I needed it to do. You don't have to babysit it. It records my old tapes and has great picture quality for my tapes that are twenty years old. My other recorder required you to be there and sit with it or it would turn off at the first blip on the tape. This is much easier and better quality as well.

I wish the guide that came with it was easier to read, but I guess you can't have everything.

This Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK DVD Recorder/VHS Recorder was exactly what we were looking to purchase. There are very few VHS recorders left on the market. The unit works great and even allows us to copy from VHS tapes we have recorded with our camcorder to DVDs. I am even able to view and copy SD cards from my game camera to DVDs. My wife even comments on how easy it is to program. I could see how limited the time is for VHS use, while looking to replace our VHS recorder which had failed. This will allow us to make an easy transition to DVDs while preserving the VHS collection we have acquired over the years. The only thing the unit does not do that would be nice, is to record directly from the built-in digital tuner. You can only record using the coaxial input. I would reccommend this unit to anyone wanting to purchase a DVD Recorder/VHS Recorder.

I bought this machine.I copied all my old vhs tapes into a dvd.
The machine works great its fast no need to sit down like in the old days 6 to 8 hours watching the video to make a copy.

The same unit is priced at Best Buy for over twice what I paid. I've Talked with salespeopleand electronics nuts regarding DVD recorders. The general consensus is a refurbished unit may be the better way to go since a lot of new units have issues out of the box.

this produce have very good picture,dvd recorder easy to use and important is digital tuner.one thing i did not like is when you star up the system seemlike it take a little longer to boot up.over all this is a very good system.

It does everything that we want as far as recording television and copying VHS to dvd. Does have a tendancy to freeze and have to be reset, but other than that is a great item.

Seems fine but my tv antenna connection is poor so I cant't be sure
how well the device really works.

I bought this product because I was in need of a VHS player and I also wanted to get all of my old home VHS-C movies to DVD. The copy from VHS to DVD works pretty well. Pretty easy to understand and run. It does appear to get confused sometimes when doing multiple copies. However, after turning off system and turning it back on it seems to work ok. Also great for making copies of programs on my DISH Netowkr DVR to DVD for saving. I bought this refurbished and got a great deal and so I'm really pleased with my purchase. Hopefully it will last and make me even happier. I would definitely buy another refurbished one, in a heart beat.

First time , there was something problem.
But It easily solved by firmware update.
And I satisfied.

Price is why I bought it. I think for a refurbished item I think it was well put together. It is a nice looking and easy to operate. I am sure glad I bought mine.

The recorder does what I want it to do. CNET gave it its highest rating. Buying a refurbished unit is relatively low risk if you purchase an extended warranty.

We had a bunch of VHS tapes that we wanted to convert to current, digital technology(easier storage; better medium to use; etc.). We also wanted to maintain quality as close as possible to the original. And, all of this at a reasonable cost. The Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK DVD Recorder measured up on all counts. Plus, it is very user friendly. I highly recommend this unit for anyone with a similar need.

I bought this to convert old vhs videos to dvd. Needed something quickly as father passed-away and some of old vhs movies were going to be part of memorial.
