Panasonic DMP-BD30K Blu-Ray Player

Very good Blu-Ray player. It loads quickly and has a lot of features. It also makes reular DVD's look like Blu-Ray. It was also very easy to download new updates from Panasonic.

No cons on this one! Beautiful picture,optimum sound outputs. Just wsatched a few segments of Planet Earth in Blu Ray and it was great. Set up was straight forward. Very happy with the purchase.

I looked for a long time before selecting this Blu-Ray DVD. The uplifton non-blu-ray is excellent. One thing you need to do is make sure you get a quality 'gold HDMI cable'.....It is worth the extra $ to do so.

I bought the bul-ray player, because I bought a new house and I wanted the best in dvd player. I was not disappointed, the picture quality is amazing. I usually buy Panasonic and Toshiba products, I've found they are superior in quality and last forever.

For a resenable price of very good performance product. it is a fast respond and good audio/visual quality Blu-ray player.

Ive wanted a blu-ray player since they came out. When my JVC DVD player went bad, this was the time. Being a long time video salesman for Circuit City, I know that Panasonic is a very good brand as far as picture quality, reliability and ease of use. Blu-ray movies are crystal clear. I have been very happy with the quality of the picture with the blu-ray discs and with the up converting on standard dvds. Standard dvds look almost as clear as the blu-rays. This unit is a perfect match with my 65" Mitsubishi HDTV. The Mitsubishi has a very dark contrast, and through the DVD player set up menu, I can adjust it to be a little brighter. This is great especially on movies where a lot of the scenes are dark. It has plenty of inputs and outputs if your not going to go through your surround sound receiver. The set up was very easy. You can adjust the picture and audio setting through the menu just as easy as you would on a television set. The remote buttons are positioned for easy use and the lettering is easy to see even in a dimly lit room. I really have nothing negative to say about this unit other than the fact that it takes an abnormally long time for the drawer to open. (Or I am just way too impatient) I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone.

All i can say is WOW!!! I bought a blu-ray player before this one, the price was 100.00 more and the caparison isn't even close. The Panasonic not only looks better but, the real difference is the sound quality. Its incredible!! this was a refurbished unit straight from Panasonic, i paid 210.00 and a new one is between 300-500$. And i still have a warranty with it.
Out of all the research i did, and price comparison this is by far the best i have seen for the price range i was looking for.
Picture is absolutely beautiful and Sound is incredible. I couldn't be happier, i Finally got to see what my HD plasma i bought 6 months ago is capable of, and i was shocked at the difference.

The Panasonic DMP-BD30K Blu-Ray player is an excellent machine at a very good price. The picture and sound are fantastic. I had an older HD DVD player and the Panasonic Blu-Ray gives me a much sharper picture. The only weakness is it takes a long time to boot up when turned on but it appears that is standard in HD and Blu-Ray machines.

I am completely satisfied with this item and it provides everything the ad indicates. My only disappoinment is that I thought it was region free. It will not play UK DVD's like my previous player did. The ad never indicated region, so I can't complain. It's still a very nice unit.

The description said remote wasn't working and HDMI wasn't tested. Took the chance anyway and everything went perfect, even the remote works!!

It is now 3 days after payment has been received by the seller. I have yet to receive a tracking number or a response to my requests asking for the number. These may be fraudulent sales.

Great product,just as another review said it was,having said that I should of stayed with SONY,so receiver, LCD, and blue ray player synced as one product, (can be fixed with harmoney remote)

This unit is quieter than the Toshiba HD-A3 I also own, and many new titles are coming out in Blue Ray...most worthwhile on a 37" or larger LCD panel, as the picture quality is better than with HDTV over cable/satellite. Easy to set up, remote has large buttons. Upconversion of standard DVDs good, but probably not as good as with the Toshiba HD-DVD units. Can only upconvert to one TV at a time; if hooked up to two units, one gets a picture in 480i. But not a big deal as you could use an HDMI switch in this situation.

All in all, a good value and a nice looking unit. And now Blue Ray the only way to get true 1080p HDTV.

Having recently upgraded to HD TV I wanted to try a Blu-Ray player. I chose Panasonic as I have always been pleased with their quality.
It was well made, came with a great remote.
Unfortunately the unit had problems, the Seller was great enough to refund my money on return of the player, I since went with a Pioneer player with no problems.

Excellent blue ray player, with fast boot-up, and reasonably good options for an older-generation player. Lacks, I believe, the more modern feature of working with the latest LCD screens that can accept natural speed 24 fps movie play, but if you don't have one of those high end latest HDTVs, this is an excellent and economical choice.

Everything as promised! I would highly recommend this seller.

Bought it for better picture and got that. It is quite stupid in this day and age that there is no code to let you use a universal remote or your cable/sat remote. I would have rated excellent IF they had included a code.
