Panasonic AVCCAM AG-HMC150

When I bought this package it was advertised as being in stock and ready to ship. There was some bait-and-switch. They tried to sell the extended warranty for 300.00, saying it only came with a one year warranty (It actually comes with a three year warranty from Panasonic). They talked about how I would need to get the heads cleaned. I told them this video camera didn't need to be cleaned because it's tapeless. They said I was crazy, and that it did need cleaning every year (Look it up, it doesn't). In any case, stay clear from the warranty.

After I paid for the item immediately following the auction, I waited about a week and had heard nothing in regards to shipping. I called Pyxis, they said it was back ordered, and it would ship out in a few days. I asked them to call or email me if there were any more delays. They promised they would. I called them back a few days after the date they promised it would ship out. They said it would be another week. They promised to include an extended warranty as compensation for the wait.

When I bought the package, it was advertised as including the SGM-PDII On-Camera Short Shotgun Microphone (which sells for $200.00). They were also selling the package for a hundred dollars cheaper.

I sent two separate emails to them through ebay, specifically asking if the microphone was included. They replied both times with a definite YES!

The camera finally shows up and...THERE'S NO MICROPHONE.
(They also didn't include the warranty they had promised to because of the two week delay (but who needs that anyways)).

They must have figured perhaps I wouldn't notice a two hundred dollar component was missing.

I call them up, spend about two hours (literally) being indefinitely put on hold, and when I finally talk to someone, they say I'm out of luck. They only way they were willing to help me was if I went on ebay immediately and left them positive feedback.

Good thing I didn't

They agree to send me two batteries instead which retail at 69.99. Well, the HMC-150 doesn't accept generic batteries. They literally will not work (Look it up). Other than the fact that they were going to send me batteries that didn't work, the order was never placed.

I also discovered that the lenses were incompatible with the camera (you can see the lenses all around the viewfinder) and the the SD card is incompatible.

This is when I left them negative feedback and opened a case with paypal. For the first time, they contacted me now. After hours on the phone trying to give them a chance to straighten everything out, only now do they seem to care.

Now when I say care, again, everything was conditional upon revising my feedback. They didn't seem to get the fact that I had paid them money for something they had not delivered. They acted like anything they did for me was a personal favor.

I've never spoken to such disrespectful customer service people in my life. They had the audacity to say that I was holding them hostage because I gave them negative feedback, when they sold me something and didn't deliver it.

Finally after a horrible ordeal, they agreed to refund 200 dollars through paypal in exchange for immediate positive feedback.

If you buy this, expect it to be late, with broken, missing parts, and incompatible parts. Expect to spend hours on the phone "holding". Expect your money to be held hostage in exchange for positive feedback.

In short, DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA PACKAGE. It was the worst ebay experience of my life.
