If you need to have access to your email and contacts constantly, this is the phone for you. It connects to your outlook will "sync" everytime you plug it in. It also has mini versions of the Microsoft Office package, making it easy to read attachments. You can keep it on twenty four hours a day and always be available, but inevitably this will cause freezing, which requires a soft reset (see instructions in book) and then if that doesn't work, a hard reset that requires you to remove all data you have stored on your phone and start over. Usually this fixes the problem. Of course it is a computer so it does have glitches, there is a patch for the problem that occurs when you ignore a call waiting and whomever you are speaking to can no longer hear you. And there are also updates that you need to do, but you don't know about them unless you go looking.
this phone is very nice, just takes a little while to get use to all the options and also wish some of the options would be covered in the manual on how to use them. otherwise it's a very very nice phone.
The best Palm phone I've used yet. Windows based phones definitely are the only way to go. I like the full keyboard, texting abilities, PDA capabilities and web surfing. I don't know what I'd do without a smartphone any more.
The Treo 700wx has more memory than it's counterparts and is very easy to use. Has all the great features you could ever need in a cell phone and PDA combined. I love the QWERTY keyboard which makes email and text messages so efficient.
Don't get me wrong, the 700w is a powerful device (see my review http://reviews.ebay.com/Treo-700w-works-well-but-not-much-RAM_W0QQugidZ10000000002146713) but it was lacking in RAM. Programs would often close early.
Now Palm has DOUBLED the amount of ram available to applications. Huge difference. So much better now.
I bought my 700wx to help me get organized in the business that I am in. I like having a Windows OS. Calender is awesome and word and excel help me out a lot,the email is a bonus as you can send and receive attachments. Some Cons are that the phone doesn't have a lot of internal memory and the phone does not have built in wifi you have to purchase a SDIO card about another 50 bucks also there aren't too many asthetically pleasing phone cases(holders).
Overall I would recommend this phone to anybody that needs to get organized.
The first thing I noticed about this phone, when I picked it up, was the nice sold central feeling this phone had. Great screen that you can turn up to full brightness to see, even during the day in the sunlight with sunglasses on! Great phone that works surpurb.
