Although many people swear by the Blackberry, I recently decided to purchase a Palm Treo 650 with Cingular as a provider. The features of the phone are terrific. With full functionality of a PDA, integrated with Bluetooth technology, a camera and packed in a compact unit, it is the perfect organization tool. In addition to these great features, the true benefit of the Treo 650 is the ease of use. Unlike the Blackberry, the 320 x 320 touchscreen makes checking email, switching between applications or just surfing the web simple and straight forward. The look and feel of this product is far superior to that of its competitors.

While I would definitely recommend the Treo 650, it does have its flaws. Reception, in compared to other Cingular phones, is not very strong. Signal can fade and calls are sometimes dropped. In addition, there unit sometimes will restart automatically - a bug that Treo claims to have fixed in the latest version of the hardware.

Lastly, when making your decision, also make sure that your phone (either Treo 650 or Blackberry) is fully supported by your company's Microsoft Exchange Server. This will bring truly bring the features and functionality alive.

i purchased palm treo about two months i love the way it functions and texting is great i would recommend it for anyone that like to text alot and i like the on screen functions , only problem is now switching phone companies and they dont use sim cards this is unlocked for any network so if anyone interested in a palm treo 650 unlocked for any network email me leo_suz2000@yahoo.com will take 125.00 for it and carring pouch and charger and usb port

Just received phone today, as the item description stated, works perfectly?? NOT! When received I put my sim in and tried to dial out. The keys don't function properly. I have to press the button EXTREMELY hard and multiple times for them to register. Then I tried to text using this phone and again was extremely difficult to register any keys pressed. I'm very disappointed!!

Good ebayer! The shipment was very fast and came in great packaging that protected the phone. The only issue I had is that it came without a home charger. ALthough, this might have been my fault for not looking at the description more carefully.

not something that I would buy again. cost me a lot of money to get this phone back in 2003 when they camed out. not very happy with this phone. slow processor and reception is really bad. droops calls and very heavy.

Wow! first of all let me say I upgraded from a treo 600. What a huge difference. The screen is really clear. Pix are vivid! I love the mp3 aspect as well. it is slighty smaller than the 600. It was well worth the purchase. I decided to buy it because it was an upgrade that was affordable.
When I first got the 650 it kept trying to hot sync. Than there was a orange and blue error screen that said "SDF". i had to do a soft reset several times. sometimes it resets by itself.
But over all, I lover it

I decided to by the Treo because I wanted the features of a planner without having to subscribe to a Data plan for my phone. The Treo works wonderfully. It allows me to synchronize my calendar with my computer so that I am on top of my schedule.
I would recommend the Treo to anyone that needs a good organizer along with their cell phone.

I bought this one because I lost my last one and a new one would run over 300.00. I bought this excellent used one for next to nothing in comparison. I love my Treo phone, although it's a huge phone compared to the tiny ones you can get now. But it does so much, and has huge memory for things like long text conversations that span months. My used phone had a couple of problems, but for the savings, I am thrilled with my purchase.

Phone works great, making and receiving calls are very easy and texting with the on screen keypad makes it very fast

ive had my palm treo for 2 months now and hasnt failed me once..it has everything anyone would ever want in a phone..check it out for yourself.
the only neative thing i would have to say about it would be that it freezes every couple of days but it doesnt matter..i would highly recomend this for anyone

This smatphone is about as good as it gets. very functional for the everyday user or business on the go. not quite as packed with features like the pocket pc's. however smaller and user friendly.

I just got my first smart phone and this think is the best. i previously had a razr v3m and this gets better signal even. and the features are endless. you wont be dissapointed

was in poor cosmetic condition, fair mechanical condition... purchased item due to personal experience in reconditioning poor condition Treo's and getting a good turn around in resale value... purchased due to low cost and high value after minimal reconditioning

Great phone...reception not as good as other phones on same carrier...but the flexiblility to back-up this phone is second to none...I don't need all of the ipod stuff...I just need a phone that synchs with my desktop, laptop and palm pilot flawlessly...this is the phone to own.

Do beware of purchasing these phones refurbished as the older models have some very irritating quirks.

This unit is good in software. It is fast & does not hang.
But I think the antenna should be removed. Change to internal type would definitely allow me to have more items in my pocket. And I don't feel the keypad is useful. Wouldn't it better to have larger display?

really love this phone.puts the internet right at your fingertips and really easy to use.has lots of other functions for your use. good buy for almost anyone.

I have a Palm 700wx. Have always like Palm products and the Palm software. Now with it sync with Outlook. All the better.
Why would you want anything else.....Well it could have WiFi, thinner & weight less.

One of the most anticipated phones of it's time. This Palm Treo, is much more than just a cell-phone. It is a powerful business tool that fits in the 'palm' of your hand. The performance is simply amazing. Scrolling through the Windows OS is very easy and straight-forward. The stylus comes in handy quite often. Other great features include a very high resolution camera - takes excellent photos for a camera-phone, internet is somewhat quick but can lag if you are not in a clear opening to a satellite or WiFi hotspot. The Touch-screen is bright and clear. The full keyboard makes texting a cinch! On the downside, it is difficult to leave in your pants pocket without calling people randomly, and it's bulkiness is definitely not up to modern standards. I also hoped it would be able to display wallpaper patterns- instead, you get a standard one that is unchangeable. I would recommend this phone to intermediate to advanced, older, more mature person. Check auctions on ebay, you might find yourself getting a great deal on one with the current release of newer versions and the revolutionary iPHONE!

A Treo 650 is very functional smart phone, specially if it is unlocked, that gives you the freedom to use with any carrier in the world, no more missed appointments, since I purchase my phone my life turned to be easier, I was able to have internet 24/7 with out having to stop in the office or wait to get home to be able to use it. Practically you have a mini-computer in your hands.
Would I recomend it, ABSOLUTLY YES!!! Totaly love this smart phone...
One little thing, The Internet Browser is a bit slow. But I can live with that.

Let me tell ya. I bought a Treo 650 in the beginning of 2007. Decided I didn't want it anymore and bought a new phone. I just bought another 650. I couldn't live without it. I missed the darn thing. Like most people I had issues with the sound quality and low ringer, but I can live with it. I am a text message junky and the Treo makes it much easier. Also instead of having to carry a calendar, checkbook register, calculator, phone etc in my purse all I have to carry is my Treo. I can't wait till it arrives. I will never part again, only upgrade.
