It is rather on the unfriendly side of knowing how to operate the whole item. Trying to write letters in a specific way is rather cumbersum. I have heard that there might be an actual keyboard to hook to the Palm but I have not seen it and that might help in this area. But then having an extra keyboard to write on this particular item would cause it to become heavier to haul around and having a Palm is supposed to make it lighter to carry around all of one's information in a quick matter. All of this concern could be lifted if I had an actual booklet on the operation of this Palm M100. It does look nice and the notebook holder is also smart looking.
