Paint Radiant Realism in Watercolor, Ink & Colored Pencil by Sueellen Ross (1999, Hardcover)

Sueellen Ross has done an excellent job of taking the student step by step through the process that has made her artwork highly collectible all over the world. Through the chapters she lays a solid foundation of supplies and convenient options for mapping images onto watercolor paper. After reading this book and following the directions to the letter I completed a mixed media painting that is exactly how I envisioned it.

I purchased an extra copy for a close friend who is also a world renown artist and her comment was that this is the best book she has in her "how to" library. She is using the techniques but has exchanged some of the media for tempura and has been very happy with her results.

This is an opportunity to work at home at your leisure with the same lesson plan that Ms Ross uses in her popular workshops for a fraction of the cost.

Ms. Ross uses plants and animals as examples but her techniques can be applied to any subject. I highly recommend this book to artists who wish to complete mixed media art paint and colored pencil.
