Pages * by Bering Strait (CD, Jun-2005, Universal South Records)

What a fantastic CD!!! What a fantastic group!!! Three days ago, I had the great pleasure of seeing Bering Strait perform live at the Broward Center of the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale. What a fantastic show!!!! They sang all of the songs from the Pages CD (which were awesome) and many from their first CD. They are great performers and singers AND really nice people. After the show, they signed autographs for their fans and talked with them. I got to speak with Natasha, Sasha, and Lydia (who I love and admire a lot) and got autographs from all of them. I didn't realize how much Lydia sings on the new CD - at least 50% of the songs, probably more. She is a fantastic singer and it is hard to take your eyes off of her (she is so beautiful). Natasha was also beautiful and energetic and sang great. Sasha was very cool - both during the show and afterwards - we spoke a little about the Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits influence on him. Folks, this group is going to skyrocket to fame and glory very shortly - be ready for this music explosion!! When I was watching Natasha and Lydia perform, and seeing both harmonize so well together, two groups came to mind. One, the Beatles with Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and two, the Cars with Ric Ocasik and Benjamin Orr. Having two lead singers is very unique and Natasha and Lydia do it very well. The Pages CD is so fantastic that I have played it over and over again and it always sounds great!! I am a Bering Strait fan for life, especially after seeing them perform live and then getting to speak with them after the show. This fine group of youngsters deserve every success that will be coming to them in their futures.
