My son just joined the 10th Mountain Division so naturally I wanted to learn what I could. This is a great collection of gritty short stories from the journals and memories of the men who first formed the 10th Mountain Division and fought in the Alaska Aleutians and Italian Mounatins of WWII. It is pretty graphic, as you would expect of a war book, and doesn't go beyond what happened to the Division after WWII. But it sure tells how it got started. Strap on your skiis and try to keep up!
