Pack up the Cats by Local H (CD, Sep-1998, Island Records USA)

My teenaged son was looking for this CD and knew it was very hard to come by. I found it on Ebay and purhcased it for him for Christmas...he was beyond thrilled! The seller was very professional, and corresponded and shipped immediately. I was very impressed, and my son received just what he wanted. Thank you again.

Pack up the cats and move to the city is obviously a parody on the Guns 'N' Roses song called, "Move to the city", or simply Scott Lucas' take on it. He ain't packin his bags, he's packin his cats! Well this song to some disappointment lays out the mood for the whole album. Maybe it reflects a sad time in Scott's life, moving? Its a good album in its own way though, not like "As good as dead" but the music is more laid back, organized and thoughtful. He doesn't simply hate everything like on his previous album though, he broods and relents over certain subjects, such as isolation, loneliness, love... All in all, its a good example of mellow rock which still gets heavy in some places.
