PaRappa the Rapper (PlayStation Portable, 2007)

I don't know why some people choose to make odd complaints that this game will make kids into 'wanna be rappers'. If you've ever played DDR or Bust-a-Groove, this game is similar. You have to hit the circle, triangle, square, or x button in time when it comes up. The apparently offensive raps consist of songs like 'punch kick it's all in the mind if you wanna test me I'm sure you'll find the things I'll teach ya is sure to beat ya, get ready to get a lesson from teacher' and then you have to jump kick and punch as the Onion karate guy give commands in his dojo.

Please don't let ridiculous reviews scare you off from letting your kids play this game! There isn't anything hard core, no cursing or derogatory images, it's just cute RHYMES!! And the art and characters are also really cute, 1 dimensionally, cute, with smiley faces.\. This game is defiantly kid friendly for all age ranges. I'm really glad they made it for PSP, it was one of the first game I had for my PS1 when it came out so long ago! It's pretty easy to play, nothing complex, so it would be a great game for someone who is just getting into gaming too :)

PaRappa the Rapper is one of the first rhythm game. This volume though first published on the PSone, is still a lot of fun. The PSP version is nothing different from the one that was one PSone, but if you are a fan, it is a game to have on your handheld console; it will remind of the good times.

If However, you have never played PaRappa the Rapper, you will be quite delighted with it. It is a simple, and fun game to play; Don't be afraid with the word "RAP" the kind of rap this game has is just plain fun. You make your character "rap" by hitting the buttons at the right time. Though it might be hard at time to have the right timing, you will be rewarding with a "freestyle mode" in which you will be able to mix up your own words.

Though the game is a little short, it might take you about 2 to 6 hours to beat it, it is still fun the replay it even the thousandth time.

I tried this game at my friends house and it was really weird. You try to press buttons in the order they give you to make the dog rap, if I were a child this game would terrify me. The characters in the game are just plain weird, like the karate master onion, or the crazy police moose(yeah these are actual characters!!!). In my oppinion this game will teach kids to be wanna-be rappers.

I had recently played PaRappa the Rapper on a PS2 and had decided to purchase it for my PSP. I had been searching for a while and did not find anything to the quality that I was searching for. Then I finally found gamers factory and they described the game as being a new game in great condition. I also liked the price and agreed with the shipping price, so I purchased the game. I am very pleased with the condition and the delivery time of the product.

When it comes to defining moments in history, Parappa the Rapper takes the bar to a newer, Higher level. When first released for Playstation 1 in 1998, This game astounded many with the fun Gameplay and really got themselves involved in the storyline. This game lead to many newer style games, Such as Guitar Hero. As some may not enjoy the game as much as others, because it is very short and I can beat it in a mere 10 Minutes (If Storyline is Skipped) This is still an awesome game that can be enjoyed by many. If you are looking for a cheap, affordable way for everyone in the family to have some fun, this is the way to go. Help Parappa Becomes a Rap Hero!

Cute songs to "rap" to! Tough, but fun. Keeps you bobbin as you play. Wish the sound was louder as it is critical to hear the beat. Even with headphones and the PSP cranked to max it is just manageable to hear. Play in a QUIET environment.

This game is really catchy. The graphics are simple yet original. Even though after my first brief play on the original Playstation one, I still can remember half the songs in the game.

If you enjoy rythm games and cartoony graphics, this is a game you don't want to miss.

Its a great game that is clean and keeps my child entertained for hours! It's a well recommended game for a child. It costs alot more than what I've purchased it for on ebay and recommend any parent whom considers to purchase any pap games to get it at ebay! Searching the site does pay off!

Sure the graphics might not seem the greatest; however, its the old playstation game made on the PSP. Its a cute game perfect for children. Well pick up a game and try it already. Have fun!

Before Guitar Hero, there was PaRappa the Rapper, the original match-the-beat music game. Originally on the Playstation 1, one of my favorite games. When I heard it was available on the PSP I just had to get it. Now I can take my favorite game on the go. Its unique in the style. When it first came out, it was the era of 3D games. But PaRappa went a different route by going 3D but making the characters flat-like, kind of like paper mario. It has its own music soundtrack where you follow PaRappa through karate, driving school, and many other adventures. I recommend this game to anyone looking for a good fun simple game on the go.

This game is so cool it reminds me of better time's I would recommend this game to anyone that has time to kill and want's to have some fun.

ITs pretty hard, game is short and hard, not very fun. The levels were hard to beat and if you didnt, you had to restart from the begining , it was really stupid.

I bought this game because my son kept asking me for it. After searching for a good deal I bought it for him when I found the most reasonable price and shipping. My son loves this game. He is 11 years old. The songs are cute, they even get in my head and I find myself saying "Kick Punch"! Great game.

I love the game its self but the only other thing would be that i wish that it had more levels to play

We have played this game long time ago on the play station. When I seen that they had it for the PSP I just had to get it. The kids really loved the game so I was like hey why not? Thank you so much for all you're help.

i bought this thinking that it would be a great way to learn the controls of my sony playstation portable (psp) and the buttons. but to my surprise this game was awful. it had a iffy story. and at you did was match a few buttons and then you were done. next scene the same thing about 5 or 6 later the game was over. and you could move up a level and do the same thing. there were only 3 levels so it only took a few hours to finish the whole thing.
