Product Description
The QuickScan 6000 is designed specifically for retail point of sale and features an unprecedented combination of superior performance and rugged design at an affordable price. The QS6000's rubber overmold protects against shock and prolongs the life and performance of your scanner. This QuickScan 6000 is bundled with the Model 2000 bar code and magnetic stripe reader. The Model 2000 is American Microsystems' most popular and versatile decoder. It combines features found in a variety of readers into one compact, easy-to-use system. Tailor the reader to individual applications by simply scanning bar codes from the setup menu. It's that simple. The reader installs quickly between the keyboard and personal computer. Data is sent to the PC through the keyboard interface as if typed from the keyboard. No software changes are required. The reader accepts a wide variety of devices: lasers, CCDs, wands, slot readers, magnetic stripe readers and RS-232 serial input devices. Up to four different input devices can be connected at the same time, maximizing the versatility of the scanning system. The Model 2000 can be tailored to individual applications by scanning bar codes from the setup menu.
