I have owned this CD before and it got lost in the shuffle when I moved. I have missed it. If you have never listened to Butch Hancock and you love music and love LYRICS you are in for a TREAT...!!!
I have been listening to Butch off and on at live concert venues for over 30 years and the last time I saw him was a few weeks ago. Nothing is lost in the translation of time -- only more and more wonderful songs from this most talented (and beautifully humble) singer-songwriter.
Butch Hancock's songs have been covered by Emmy Lou Harris, Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore and others, but he's written hundreds and hundreds of great songs and they have barely skimmed the edge of the surface! Personally, I would rather hear Butch sing his own songs rather than hear anyone else sing them (though I don't mind when they do).
