If you like Jo-Ann Mapson fiction this book is for you. Jo-Ann Mapson has the ability to put the reader in the big picture -- her descriptions of Northern California are so vivid they evoke the actual scene, making you feel like you are there. In this book she has written about a new family of strong women and their trials and tribulations with health, money and men but there are ties to her other Bad Girl Creek series with some of the characters from those books appearing in this book which is a plus. Hopefully there were be a continuation of this family in some new books......another Mapson to look forward to. A quick pleasant read!

I bought this book because I buy every book that Mapson writes. Her characters are always a bit quirky and her story lines run true to life. She makes you enjoy all of her characters with their strengths and weaknesses. She does an excellent job of creating interesting relationships usually between sisters, mother and daughter, etc.
I pass on the other romance novels that I read to my relies, but I never part with my Mapson novels.
