Over the Top (DVD, 2005)

I can not count the times I have watched this movie, and every single time I am fully emerged into the plot. I am a die-hard Stallone fan and this is one of my favorite movies by him. It is a rather unusual father/son story, but done very believable and heroic. This is a movie the entire family can watch and enjoy together. As with every movie Stallone acts in (great and not so good movies) he ALWAYS puts his heart and soul into his work. Many actors in "Hollywood" should take notes from him as he is one of the greatest as well as TRUEST actors and writers!

I loved this movie. I like Sylvester Stallone's movies. This movie saw a softer side of him while still having that tough guy image. He gave up ALOT in this movie and I love the story line. A must see!

Sylvester Stallone and Robert Loggia star in this 1987 action/drama. Arm-Wrestling Trucker, Lincoln Hawk meets his son, Michael for the first time
and try getting to know one another. While bonding, Michael's grandfather tries keeping them apart because he hates Hawk. I've always liked this film since I watched it growing up and glad it's on dvd. It has good picture and sound, but only a trailer. I recommend getting this because it's a great film.

This movie is an excellent father-son story. I am a huge Stallone fan - and this story does a nice job of being both entertaining and emotional. I just think it's a nice story to watch with my two boys. Thanks Sly!

I watched this movie a long time ago and it was still as good as I remembered it. The movie follows the path of a father and son learning to love each other and getting to know one another while driving across the US in a semi. The sidebar of the arm wrestling shows us how far a family will go to be together. Awesome movie!!! FIVE STARS!

One of my all-time favorite Stallone movies. As good as Rocky. This is a must see !!! Had not heard much about this movie before watching it which is unfortunate because it is a true classic and will be appreciated by any Stallone fan.

I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE FOR MY SON AND GRANDCHILDREN. IT WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITES GROWING UP. IT WAS WELL SUITED FOR THE AGE GROUP OF THE 3 BOYS.

I like the movie because my favorite actor stars in it. Also, I like the story and the theme to it. The story is about a father trying to unite with his son who he didn't get to raise up because he left his wife and his son long ago. Though the story is based on arm wrestling, it has a happy ending of Lincoln Hawk and his son Michael uniting at the end. One thing good about the character Lincoln Hawk is he shows good sportsmanship to Bull Hurley after he defeats him in the final arm wrestling match.

The scenery was nice I bought it for the lesson that Sly taught his son. Many families can benefit from this lesson.

I never recieved my item form the seller. I paid for it, it was charged on my credit card, but I never got it. I will be filing a greivance with paypal and ebay.

Sylvester Stallone makes me laugh. We bought the movie because my husband and I got an arm wrestling table. Arm wrestling also makes me laugh. I wish I could get one of those cool exercisers like Stallone has in the movie. Why are all kids (boys) in eighties movies so whiny?

I like the older movies. Which i havent seen this movie in awhile so i decided to buy it on here since it was pretty cheap

I remember this movie when i was a little boy...it has action and how a father who left his family and would keep in touch through mail and call, and how the grandpa didn't like him and never passed the mail or calls and he was known by his child as never trying to talk to him...when mom died he found all the letters and realized dad been trying to patch up since the day he left and how he wins his sons heart by the end of the movie and he has a chance to be the father he could have been before he left..now as a father i like it even more.

I still have not recieved the item! I sent the money within A hour and I have been waiting for around two months. I guess it was a lesson learned , and it cost me ten dollers. The rest of my transacions were great with the other deals that I made with other peaple. I cannot afford to make to many money costly mistakes. But thank you for the review.

Awesome movie. If Wal-Mart would have sold it i would have bought it a long time ago. I have looked for this movie for a long time so this is like christmas for me.
