Bowie's Most Dorfy Album
Review created: 05/11/07(updated 05/11/07)
Over the years my reputation for loving the strange and abstract and surreal and bizarre has caused my friends to coin the term "Dorfy" for anything that is a little too unusual or odd for their taste. This album certainly fits the Dorfy category. It's the story of the "art" ritual murder of a 14-year-old girl named Baby Grace Blue. The CD goes from the weird to the downright creepy and everything in between as it tells what Bowie calls "A non-linear Gothic Drama Hyper-cycle". Bowie does all the voices but sometimes you swear Salad Fingers is actually doing the talking. Speaking of fingers, you can see the fingerprints of Brian Eno all over this thing which is a huge plus. This is probably the best Bowie album ever. 5 Huge Stars.
