I bought this because a friend of mine, who had introduced me to the Hollows series to begin with, told me Kim had a brand new book come out. I saw this book on ebay and bought it. The book has great twists and turns that are unexpected, and awfully entertaining. I strongly suggest anyone interested in this series read all the book, but see it through to this one. It's the best one so far.

I have never given any book an excellent rating but this book IS excellent. I have read all the reviews and could not understand how EVERYONE could give this book a perfect score now I understand.
A book that is carefully paced and packed with punch from the beginning to the end. It had no boring parts in between or at the end the storyline was great. My one critique is I have to wait a whole year for another book.

Rachel Morgan is a witch, she's friends with a vampire, pixy & werewolf... and vampires, demons and fey are out to get her.

This isn't technically a romance, in fact I found the series in the horror section of my book store, but there is romance involved. Romance and action.

I've come to love all of the characters and think anyone who reads this series will as well.

In typical Kim Harrison fashion, this book is full of good stuff, but there's a major downside as well. It's disturbing to read with Kisten having been killed off in the previous book (which broke my heart), and I don't like the idea of her being paired off with anyone else, but it's still a long way from progressing into a new storyline of things to come. Hopefully with less death and violence. I've been reading these books from day one, so this one is slightly disappointing to me, but it's not horrible. I've read worse from many other writers, I just see this book as a transitional period. I'd say it was good, but really it's not up to par with her usual stuff.

The book is 455 pages, and very detailed, (sometimes reminded me of harry potter books because of the detective details) a few interesting things are revealed about rachel. and a few mysterious are cleared up. NO sex in this book.
I would have enjoyed a little more Ivy and Rachel scenes. Although Rachel's life (the crime fighting part of it sorta,) is starting to resemble to me anita blake, as i'm exhausted as rachel is in some parts of the book.
it's a really good book, i think it's one of kim's best thus far.
i'm so looking forward to future books and any resolution to the kirsten situation.

If you like a girl that can kick butt and look good doing it, you should love this series!! Kim Harrison brings to life Ms. Rachel Morgan who is witch that encounters numerous twists and turns. She ends up rooming with a vampire in an old church, and has a fairy named Jinks living out back with his family. I believe this is the 6th book in the series, and they are all to die for! Once you pick one up you wont be able to put them down till you're done with all of them, and unpatiently waiting for the next one to come out!!

This was a fun book to read. Kim Harrison knows how to get your interest and keep it till the very end. This is one of those books that you just do not want to put down. I read it every spare moment I had. Excellant book. If you have not read the other ones I would recommend that you do. You will understand the charactors better, plus they are very good books to read as well.

Great story line and went smoothly... Maybe could've tweaked it a little here and there but nothing major. Awesome book. Love this series!! :D

This is the 6th book in the Hollows series. In this episode, Rachel(think Anita Blake meets Stephanie Plumb) finds herself having to travel into the Ever After to help her friends. This was one of my favorite in the series, although my only complaint is that now we have to wait until Spring of 2009 to see what happens to all our favorite characters. The reader is left hanging at the end of the book, guaranteeing that we count the months until we can read about our favorite red-haired witch.

Excellent series and very entertaining author. You will fall in love with the characters. A must for science fiction/fantasy/urban fantasy readers.

kim harrison is one of my favorite authors.cant wait to read the next one.the whole series is awesome.

As we've come to expect from Harrison.....This book is hard to put down! Just the right amount of everything! This author knows how to keep us coming back for more! This has an excitement filled plot,which is why I switched to Harrison to avoid Laurell K's porno! So, if you liked Laurell K Hamilton back in her earlier days,before her smutfest, this is a GREAT replacement!

By far one of the best books in the series. Lots of action, expansion on characters, and new cliffhangers.

as always the end comes too soon. kim always leaves you wanting more.
i can't wait for the next one. rachel is such a kick ass woman, with more than her share of finacial problems. problems she brings on herself by busting up shops, cars, weddings you name it she has caused a fuss. but demons are kinda hard to ignore and they seem to be popping up everywhere. Boy do they have issues with Rachel.
i loved this book.
the others are really good too.

I love Kim Harrison's books! They are a nice easy read and I have a hard time putting her books down.
