If you enjoy books with GREAT character development, beautifully written historical elements and time travel, then this novel is for you. This is my favorite book of all time! It is an adventurous story that keeps you involved, intrigued and up reading all night, you just can't put it down once you get started! I also have an autographed copy from "Herself" Diana Gabaldon.
This novel follows the main character Claire who touches a boulder at Graig na dun, a stone circle in the highlands, that whisks her back in time to 18th-century Scotland. She becomes involved in several life-threatening situations with a DREAMY young, red-heided and lovable Scot named Jamie Fraser and his fellow clansmen.
Outlander is the first book in a series that is still being written. Once you read it you will want to get the rest of the books in the series just to find out more about the incredible characters and their lives. You will find the Outlander series a delightful, intelligent historical novel, with all the elements of suspense, romance, sex, adventure, history and even more sex!
Diana Gabaldon creates characters that you will remember, hope for, laugh with, cry with, dream about, and ultimately cheer for, long after you've finished reading the book.
