Starting off with a super lame intro REM leads into Radio Song and thus kicks off their worst album. But first with the bright spot: Losing My Religion. One of REM's greatest and most beautiful songs. Moving along we must face the fact that this album is way too poppy for an REM CD and ends up being pretentious, dated, and embarrassing. For those who must buy this (and for those who will tear me apart for this bad review) I will concede that there are a few moments on a few bad songs that appeal to me (Texarkana has a moment) but ultimately this one crashes and burns. 3 Stars.
I bought R.E.M.'s Out of Time because it is one of my favorite R.E.M. albums. I always had it in the back of my mind and one day I thought that it had to be on Ebay and sure enough it was. The delivery was prompt, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I have listened to the cd several times since my purchase. One of the best of the R.E.M cd's for you non or new fans.
