Loved it - Very Moving - Well Written

I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is very well written and a quick read - I couldn't put it down and read it in 1 week. A friend of mine read it in 2 days. The author presents a very honest rendition of her life experiences. And even if you have never been a Jehovah's Witness as the author was, you can still relate to her experiences and her life of oppression. This book is also encouraging to those who have been forced (or are being forced) to live a life that is unhealthy or involves mind control.
It is about finding the inner strength to break away and find your own identity - and not being afraid to do it alone, if necessary.
It also provides insight into what it can feel like to be forced into a certain lifestyle or set of beliefs, when you don't understand why you are being told to live this way, or don't agree with the beliefs.
Most of all, it alerts those who do not know about the religious practices and teachings of JW, and how damaging it can be.
I highly recommend this book to everyone!
