Movie Description OUT CALIFORNIA WAY provides satisfying western action in its film within a film. Monte Hale (Monte Hale), his sister Gloria (Lorna Gray, under the name Adrian Booth), and his friend Danny (BARETTA'S Robert Blake, under the name Bobby Blake), along with his horse Pardner, want to break into the Western movie business. They arrive at a set, where Pardner gets notice with his tricks and Monte gets to sing a few songs. After being cast as a singing cowboy, Monte thinks his career is on its way--but star George Sheridan (John Dehner) has other plans. Sheridan's jealousy of his new rival gets the better of him, and he creates a diversion sure to disrupt Monte and Pardner's roles. Notably, this Republic Studios film features appearances by Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, and Trigger, as well as RED RYDER actor Donald Barry and the voice of MR. ED, Allan Lane.
