Our Dumb World by Onion (2007, Hardcover)

If you read the Onion (or the collected works) and enjoy their brand of humor, then this book was made for you. As funny as always and jammed full of visual gags, "facts and info," and a great look at our dumb world. As much as The Daily Show's America copied the style of text books, this is very close to the Atlas text books of our school days.

Hard to put down and impossible to not find something that grabs your funny bone and doesn't let go on every page. Masterpiece!

If you're a fan of the Onion, this is pure onion. It's incredibly detailed and is laid out like any "real" atlas. (It's really attractive.) Watch out if you've weak bladder muscles. Get a kegel exerciser, lest you need to wear Depends as you read through this gem of a satire!

I just got through with the first little section of the book about America, and I found it to be pretty funny. It's laid out like a text book, which is a clever idea. Not so much a "P.H.D." clever, more of a "G.E.D." style.
It's what I wish the Geography books in high school were like, maybe then I would have been a little more interested.
All in all it's a great "Bathroom Book", and if you like the onion, and get it at a nice price, it's a good buy.

I loved all the Onion stuff and I figured it would be hilarious to see how the Onion could make fun of every country and state and what they would say. It's a great book if you enjoy other Onion stuff or just history and politics, I definitely recommend it.

Fun to have around the house and pick up to find answers to questions that pop up. However, each is tinged with "attitude" that brings a chuckle.

I you get tired of all the news with buzz words and phrases then this book will be your salvation. A humorous look at the world country by country.
