Other than being fairly predictable, The Others was just another movie trying to impress upon viewers that it is different. This was definately one of Nicole Kidman's worst acting movies. I have always thought she is underrated as an actress, but she did well in playing down to the script in this one. This one might have made for a nice movie short of about 30 minutes or so, but strung out over 2 hours made for a very boring evening. If you need an average movie that you don't want to have to think on this might suit you, otherwise don't waste your time.
