Othello (Nintendo, 548706548)

If you like the classic board game of Checkers you'll love Othello. Plus it's much easier to put away when you're finished playing. ;-) I never jumped on the video game band wagon back in the 80's, but I did acquire an NES system. Stumbled across it one day and decided to search eBay to see if games were still available. Boy howdy! Seems they're everywhere. Somewhere I read there were over 60 million NES systems manufactured and shipped world wide. Othello is different in play than Checkers, but you can still strategize and lead your opponent just where you want them. Then go in for the take down. If playing the computer on the higher levels - forget it! Play goes along kind of fast for the first few moves and then suddenly the computer takes a long pause. That's when you know it's over for you! I find it fun to learn from the machine and then use those tactics on my human challengers. Great game for us old timers.

This game is one of nintendos classics and you dont need to push up jump left twist turn press abdown leftright or what ever these new games want you to do so I recommend this to all old school gamers.
