Ortho's All About Orchids by Elvin McDonald (1999, Paperback)

I had seen the book at a garden store and thought it was a comprehensive guide to growing orchids, concise and easy to follow.

Book was a great help, I started with a few Orchids and book inspired my love for these plants and now have thenm all over my south Florida property......excellent tips and info............enjoy!

Awesome book for the beginner - or anyone - that is interested in growing orchids. It carries all the 'nuts and bolts' without being weighed down by a bunch of gobbly gook that is not needed. I highly recommend to all starting their own little orchid farm :-)

I bought the book because I recently began growing orchids. I wanted more information, especially somethng for a beginner. I liked the book because it explained things on a level which I understood. It offered many helpful suggestions. I find Ortho's series of gardening books to be very helpful.

I would recommend it to anyone just learning about orchids because it is quick and easy to read and gives information from light requirements, to feeding, to repotting, and also species specific information on some orchids. It is brief yet thorough.
